There are times in our most intimate relationships when it seems that something has been lost. Perhaps feeling a sense of loss of individuality within the couple relationship, maybe a sex life that has lost its spark, or, in the catastrophic event of an affair, the betrayal of trust.
When, for whatever reason, rational thought becomes overwhelmed by emotion, communication becomes strained, even avoided, and the same old arguments are endlessly replayed, it can be hard to see a way forward.
Individually, or together, in relationship counselling we have the opportunity to explore and make sense of the often bewildering dynamics of these interactions and move towards realizing the potential for clarity, insight and change.
